About project
Along side Somerset House’s rebrand by North Studio, the UX and UI aimed at refreshing the organisation’s digital presence. Focusing on the lack of education around Somerset House's offering and celebrating it’s influence on art, design, culture and innovation.
My role
I lead the UX and UI phase, with the assistance of a mid-weight designer during the UX phase. Engaging in extensive discussions with the client and the branding agency was crucial in order to push the solutions around the UX navigation and digital first UI.
Note.A shared momentum
A shared momentum
The personalised homepage feed was designed to help users efficiently find tickets to upcoming events while making browsing more seamless. As users engage with the site, they are shown increasingly relevant events and content.
Note.A navigation dashboard
A navigation dashboard
UX research revealed users were unaware that Somerset House offers more than cultural events. A semi-permanent navigation surfacing parent and child pages helps educate users while also serving as a dashboard for peripheral content.

Note.Hierarchy for a monolithic brand
Hierarchy for a monolithic brand
Somerset House is a host to multiple sub brands. Considering this during the UI phase was critical in order to allow for each sub brand to not be overshadowed by the overarching organisation.
