About project
The process was unconventional. The app’s UX kick started before the branding was established. The UX was then built into a prototype. The UI was developed last and required consideration for certain fixed UX decisions determined in earlier phases.
My role
I was allocated the UI of the app, yet this phase included a modification of UX as new considerations came to light later in the process. I developed the UI considering the youthful yet high-end aesthetic of the brand.

In the early phases of the UI it was apparent that the navigation and information architecture was in need of modification. This required working closely with the dev team to account for the already built UX prototype and stick within timelines/budget.

The UI was to follow a fresh aesthetic. Working off the branding agency’s creative direction to evolve the design for a digital space. This involved adjusting colours for accessibility and simplifying the typography.
